Dr. John Lantos
Hi, Congressman Yoder. It's John Lantos, a pediatrician who lives in your district. I want to talk to you today about the American dream and about some kids who live here who just want to be part of that dream. They came here as dreamers. These are kids who graduate from college, who serve in the military. They become doctors and nurses, so every medical association wants to find a way to make their stay here legal. These are kids who have given their lives to save other Americans. They contribute to the economy. They buy houses. They start businesses. They pay a whole lot in taxes and don't get much back.

They want to become American citizens. And you will soon get to vote on the DREAM Act, which would give them a chance. Congressman, this should be an easy one. It allows kids to stay only if they're in school or have finished school or served in the military and they don't have a criminal record. Many Republicans support the DREAM Act. John McCain, Lindsey Graham, Orrin Hatch, even President Trump endorsed it and asked you to do your job and pass it. The DREAM Act would support the American dream rather than giving in to those who want to destroy it. Now, you have a way of waffling a bit on these issues. But don't waffle on this one. Please, just do the right thing. Your voters
